Eaton Canyon in Pasadena, California is a favorite spot for plein air painters because of its beautiful scenery and relatively easy access. I painted this sculptural tree on a lovely spring morning, as hikers passed by on the trail above.
The medium is oil on panel, with a protective varnish applied. The image measures 14" wide by 11" high, in a silver leaf frame.
